Sir, – How sad I am to see Sean Spicer resign as press secretary to US president Donald Trump (Suzanne Lynch, July 22nd). I will miss his feisty, pugnacious press conferences where he tries to defend the indefensible.
The good news for Sean Spicer is now that he has distanced himself from Donald Trump he will be offered another job. Had he aligned himself with Trump for much longer he would have become unemployable. – Yours,etc,
