Sir, – In September I will complete my nursing degree. I have spent four years training in a large Dublin hospital in what are probably unprecedented times in our health service. Like most of my classmates, I will spend the next few weeks trying to decide whether to stay here once I qualify or leave for the UK, Australia, Canada or the Middle East. With the announcement that the HSE has suspended recruitment until further notice, it appears my decision has been made for me ("HSE shelves hiring of doctors, nurses and midwives", May 19th).
