Sir, – May I draw attention to a small but very significant phrase in the British government’s Brexit white paper? It makes mention in two passages of keeping the Irish Border “as seamless and frictionless as possible”.
This is reneging on what the British side agreed with the EU last December, when it committed itself to “the avoidance of a hard border, including any physical infrastructure or related checks and controls”. – Yours, etc,
