Sir, – It looks as if Siptu aims to use a crippling of the Luas service as the cutting edge to force through an excessive pay increase – to be followed by relativity claims elsewhere in public transport services.
The authorities should now consider mothballing the Luas trams for the foreseeable future and placing planks between the rails to convert the Green and Red lines into cycle ways. All the better if this could be done for the Easter rising celebrations. After all , many volunteers cycled to their posts. – Yours, etc,
