Madam, - Your edition of February 2nd reports Cllr GerryBreen of Dublin City Council as saying "Royston Brady has urinated on a public institution that is 250 years old", and also: "We won't allow the council meeting to continue unless he makes a fulsome apology."
Whatever about the Lord Mayor making a urinal of the institution, Cllr Breen's arsenal of words needs updating. A fulsome apology from the Lord Mayor will surely only make matters worse. My dictionary defines fulsome as "cloying or causing surfeit: nauseous; offensive; gross; disgustingly fawning". - Yours, etc.,
