Sir, – Further to "Newgrange sun trap may be only 50 years old, says archaeologist" (December 21st), our learned archaeologists debating whether Newgrange's roof-box is a 5,000-year-old construct or one of more recent creation seem to have failed to see the light. If it were the former, the site would surely have been named "Oldgrange". Happy solstice. – Yours, etc,
