Sir, – Bravo Brianna Parkins on your piece about the term "plastic Paddy" ("Every three months or so I'm reminded I'm not quite Irish enough", December 10th). The passion of your emotions came through so beautifully it was poetry. I've heard your story before sad to say, but never with such gusto. To all who come here whether new or coming home (as are the children of emigrants), you are welcome with open arms! And so say all of us with any sense or heart.
Can we maybe send the ignorants away somewhere far, far away? Just a thought.
– Yours, etc,
KAYE WHELAN,
