Madam, - With reference to your article and Editorial on the publication of examination results (The Irish Times, September 14th), I would point out that for several years St Columba's College has published detailed information on its results for anyone who cares to read it.
These details were posted on the College website (www.stcolumbas.ie) on the evening of Wednesday, August 18th this year. My attempts to find similar information on other schools, including that featured in your article, were in vain and remained so until September.
As a seven-day boarding, six-day teaching school, St Columba's offers much more than the possibility of academic success but we have no hesitation in providing for our parents and their children the information about us which they so clearly crave. - Yours, etc.,
