Madam, - Operation Freeflow exhorts us to use "public transport to the greatest possible extent". How ironic that, on my first day back at work under the Freeflow scheme, my bus fare increased by 23 per cent. And in the spirit of quid pro quo, my journey time increased by approximately the same percentage. May I suggest a cut in fares next year to empirically determine the effect on journey times? - Yours, etc.,
