Sir, – Rosi O'Sullivan's suggestion (March 11th) that, in lieu of a bus service, rural dwellers travel with the postman typifies a misguided notion of life outside our pampered capital.
Does she suggest passengers sit in a van while the postman completes his deliveries to every home and farm in the area? Besides the fact that the journey would take a full working day for some patrons, how does she suggest we get home? Wait in the sorting office until tomorrow’s delivery? I think I would have to pay extra for Express Post. – Yours, etc,
PAT MULLEN,
Dundalk, Co Louth.
