Sir, – I must commend John Naughton (February 21st) on his concise analysis of the absurdity of a publicly funded bank thinking it can act against the interests of the public.
The citizens of our republic saved these institutions and we were told this was necessary for the sake of our society. It is not acceptable for the banks, having been saved, to now throw customers overboard. – Yours, etc,
