Madam, - Would it be naive to suggest that the moneys recuperated by the Revenue Commissioners' tax evasion investigations should be returned to their rightful owners? That is, health, education, social housing, community care and all the other sectors that continue to suffer the reverberations of gross under-funding because of such tax avoidance.
But I guess such action would insinuate that we are striving towards a just society, and as Minister McDowell recently pointed out an equitable society does not an economy make! - Yours, etc.,
