A chara, - What a great way to finish off the week, reading "An Irishman's Diary" on Friday!
Tears were in my eyes as I read of Thin Lizzy and The Dubs, and Rory Gallagher etc. The only pity was that I was only 11 at the time, but I did watch that Dubs/Kerry game on a small portable TV in a caravan in Courtown. . . the Algarve of the day! And I did manage to buy Thin Lizzy's Live N' Dangerous in 1978 on the advice of my then 14-year-old brother Rory as to how best spend the £5 Golden Discs voucher that I had got as a birthday present. As Philo says at the end of L N' D. . . "Till the next time. . . Thank You!" - Slán!
