Sir, – March 11th, 2020, will tragically go down in Irish history as the day we recorded our first Covid-19 death. On that day, in the east of the country, a woman fell victim and lost her life to the disease.
Now, nearly one year on, we should take time next month, on March 11th, to remember, with a minute’s silence, the thousands who have died, the heroic work done by health care staff, along with the sacrifices we have all made. – Yours, etc,
TOM RYAN,
Dublin 14.
