Sir, – Further to "Bertie Ahern 'would not like to be a John Hume' in US now" (News, July 13th), are you seriously suggesting that what Mr Ahern has to say is newsworthy? If Bertie wants to promote his bid for the Park, he ought to purchase an ad and not be given free space in The Irish Times. – Yours, etc,
