Sir, – Rosita Boland’s article (April 6th) is headlined “Living with turbines in Donegal”, but there is nothing in the article about what it is like to live near industrial turbines: namely the stress, sleepless nights, health problems, property devaluation and environmental damage.
The article did not mention that one of the turbines at Loughderryduff wind plant fell down in recent weeks and that local people are now afraid of more accidents at this wind plant. Nor did the article mention that this wind plant was built on a pristine bog in the West of Ardara/Maas Natura 2000 site which is supposed to be protected in law. – Yours, etc,
PATRICIA SHARKEY,
