Jack Chambers

Fianna Fáil’s Jack Chambers has rapidly risen through the political ranks in recent years.

The 34-year-old doctor was born in Galway and moved to Castleknock as a child with his parents who are both from Mayo.

Educated at the private Dublin boy’s school Belvedere College, Mr Chambers has a degree in law and politics from Trinity College and graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in 2020.

Mr Chambers became the youngest member of the Dáil when he was elected for Dublin West in 2016. Before this, he served as a councillor and deputy mayor in Fingal.

He has held the positions of chief whip, minister of state for sport, the Gaeltacht & defence and minister of state in the department of transport and the department of the environment. In 2024, he became the youngest finance minister in the history of the State.
