When cancer strikes a family, it’s traumatic, life-changing and throws lots of things you’ve always taken for granted into question.

Cancer charities are vital in helping to support cancer patients and their families through the rollercoaster ride of their lives with advice, counselling, transport to appointments, alternative treatments and grants for those who are struggling financially.

Arc Cancer Support Centres is one of those amazing charities that gets no Government funding and so it relies on donations and fundraisers to keep it going. This Christmas it is selling its distinctive blue glass baubles in the Stephen’s Green Centre for €5 each.

They come in their own box and you can put them on your tree at home or hang one on the Tree of Hope on the first floor of the centre to a cancer survivor, someone going through cancer treatment or for someone who has passed away.
