Antrim 1-13 Wicklow 1-8: A strong second-half performance by Antrim killed off Wicklow at Aughrim yesterday.
Dean Odlum's goal helped Wicklow to lead by 1-6 to 0-5 at the break and home supporters would have expected them to push on but instead it was Antrim who took control of the exchanges.
Mick McCann started the ball rolling with a point after the restart, midfielder Kevin McGourty shot a smashing brace, but it was substitute Paddy Cunningham who delivered the knock-out blows to Wicklow. Cunningham pointed on 44 minutes, added another in the 59th to restore his team's lead, 0-11 to 1-7, and minutes later he hammered home a goal from a pass by Eoin O'Neill.
