Ulster Under-21 FC/Armagh 0-11 Derry 0-08: A tight Ulster under-21 football semi-final at Casement Park last night only opened up during the third quarter as Armagh pulled away from Derry to eventually book a spot in the final against Monaghan.
The first half ended at 0-4 each and it wasn't until the 42nd minute that the winners were able to stamp any authority on the match. Kevin Dyas and Paul Courtney rifled over points before Mark Lynch relieved the pressure for Derry with a long-range effort. Paul Courtney and Charlie Vernon hit two more Armagh points for a 0-11 to 0-7 lead. James Kielt pulled one back for Derry but it was too late.
