Barrack Buster registered her first win away from Kilbeggan when an impressive 25-length winner of the Total Events Rental Hurdle at Punchestown yesterday.
The mare's four career wins before yesterday had all come at the Westmeath course but she proved that she could handle a more galloping track when an easy winner from odds-on shot Star Horse.
"She's a good tough consistent mare and she loves good ground. She had only ever won at Kilbeggan before today, but has run some good races here. I hope to run her in a similar race here at the next meeting provided the ground stays good," said winning trainer Martin Brassil.
Michael Griffin has enjoyed a great weekend and saddled his second winner in two days when Ardsallagh's Lark came late to claim the Event Centre Maiden Hurdle. "To have two winners in two days is unbelievable," said Griffin, who trains just four horses in Tallow, Co Waterford. He was adding to the success of Be My Bonne at Listowel on Saturday.
