Derry...5-17 Waterford...0-4: A first half hat-trick of goals from Paddy Bradley paved the way for Derry's comprehensive dismantling of a very limited Waterford side at Ballinascreen yesterday.
Having missed Derry's opening three games through suspension, the Glenullin forward showed just how much Mickey Moran's side had missed him as he racked up a tally of 3-9 over the 70 minutes.
Having spent four weeks as a frustrated spectator Bradley immediately set about making up for lost time, latching on to Fergal Doherty's long ball and rattling the rigging after only 15 seconds. In contrast it took the Munster men 17 minutes to bother the scorers - Conan Watt pointing a free - by which time Derry had added five points to that early goal. Bradley added his second goal after 26 minutes after collecting a long ball from Conleth Gilligan and hammering it home and as the half came to a close Bradley grabbed a third.
