MOTOR SPORT:Niall Breen (Dundalk) and Michael Devaney (Dublin) will race through the streets of Bucharest on Sunday in rounds five and six of the Lloyds TSB Insurance British Formula Three Championship.

Having dominated last year's British Formula BMW Championship, Breen is having his Formula Three debut season, and on a score of 18 points he is seventh in the standings, a long way behind series leader Marko Asmer (76 points). A strong second in round four at Donington is a huge boost to his confidence and his championship aspirations.

Having abandoned A1 GP, Devaney is back in Formula Three with the new British Ultimate Motorsport Team. Together they are running a Mygale car in a bid to break the winning monopoly enjoyed by Dallara since the 1990s. A recent seventh place finish is hopefully the sign of better things to come. The two Bucharest races are on a Monaco-style circuit around the streets of the Romanian house of parliament.

Niall Quinn (Dunboyne) lies third in the German Formula BMW Championship as the series heads to the Euro Speedway, Lausitz near Berlin. Emmet O'Brien (Dublin) competes in rounds five and six of the World Touring Car Championship at Valencia, Spain.
