NFL Division Two A/ Carlow 2-11 Leitrim 0-11: Carlow recorded their first win of the campaign at Dr Cullen Park yesterday, taking command with goals in the 10th and 16th minutes, from Simon Rea and Mark Carpenter.
At half-time Carlow led by 2-6 to 0-5 and the closest Leitrim came was a five-point margin in the second half but with midfielder Thomas Walsh in control, Carlow hit three points. Two late Leitrim points from Ciarán Duignan left six points between the sides. Carlow's Vinnie Kavanagh was send off late in the match with a second yellow card.
