CELTIC refused to confirm or deny a report yesterday that claimed the Glasgow club are set to sign a £20 million sponsorship deal with Reebok. The Sunday Telegraph claimed that Parkhead chairman Fergus McCann has attracted the sportswear giants.

However, Celtic spokesman Peter McLean said it was "too early and inappropriate" to speculate on new sponsors. Celtic currently have deals with Umbro and double-glazing firm CR Smith.

In transfer speculation yesterday the club were linked with Manchester City's Georgi Kinkladze, with John Collins looking likely to walk out at the end of his contract next month with Monaco a possible destination.
