Scottish Premier League: Celtic's summer loan signing Chris Camara scored twice on Saturday to ensure the reigning champions travel to Italy for Wednesday's Champions League with AC Milan on a winning stride as they beat Dunfermline 3-0 at Celtic Park.

Camara swept the ball home on 38 and 54 minutes from close range after Stanislav Varga had put the league leaders ahead with a 20th-minute header.

Dunfermline offered little resistance and could have suffered a heavier defeat against a Celtic side who badly need a result in Milan after their 3-1 home defeat to Barcelona in the first round of Group F games.

"I went to see Milan during the week and we plan to have a look at them again over the weekend," Celtic manager Martin O'Neill said. "We'll try to formulate a plan to go there with and see how it goes."

Celtic lead the standings on 19 points from seven games, five points ahead of local Glasgow rivals Rangers, who defeated Dundee 2-0 yesterday.

Striker Nacho Novo scored both goals to ease the pressure on manager Alex McLeish. Rangers had not won an away league match before their visit to Dens Park and seemed certain to drop more points until Novo came off the bench to strike in the 77th and 80th minutes.

"You're worried the longer the game goes at 0-0 because anything can happen but we kept strong and when we got the chances we took them," said McLeish.

Rangers goalkeeper Stefan Klos was lucky to escape punishment in the 76th minute after appearing to handle outside his area from Chris Burke's back pass. The visitors benefited from their good fortune as Burke set up Novo to score the opener moments later and was again the provider for the second to kill off a spirited home side.

The weekend's individual scoring honours went to Kilmarnock striker Kris Boyd, who claimed all five goals in his team's 5-2 drubbing of Dundee United, equalling the league record.

Saturday's draw for the quarter-finals of the League Cup handed Celtic a trip to Rangers while Dunfermline play Hearts, Livingston face Motherwell and Hibernian visit Dundee United.

The ties are to be played on November 9th and 10th.
