Leinster Vocational Schools SHC A Final: St Rynagh's CC, Banagher 2-11 St Fergal's, Rathdowney 0-8 St Rynagh's CC surged clear of St Fergal's College in the second half to regain the Leinster Vocational Schools A title at O'Connor Park, Tullamore, yesterday.
Two goals by Stephen Clancy were the key scores for St Rynagh's, while captain Gary Kelly chipped in with seven points, six of them frees.
St Fergal's actually led for most of the opening half, before Clancy struck for a superb 30th-minute goal, edging St Rynagh's ahead by 1-4 to 0-6 at the interval.
Clancy again goaled seven minutes into the second half and from then on the Offaly side were always in control.
