Division Three final/ Clonakilty 19 Suttonians 12: When Young Munster's objection to Dolphin shelved the All Ireland League Division Two final, it also allowed room for the Division Three final to be moved back to Lansdowne Road on Saturday.

It would have been a travesty for Clonakilty and Suttonians to finish their season in the relative backwater that is Anglesea Road. Both clubs took the chance to impress with an open approach to their day.

The west Cork club were quick to create momentum. Outhalf Gary Cribb had two chances to find the posts and nailed the second penalty in the 10th minute.

Suttonians began to make an impression around the fringes. Territory was not converted into points, however, and Cribb made it 6-0 with another kick.

Clonakilty wing Noel O'Sullivan and fullback Derek Dillon kept their eyes on a lofted ball but lack of communication resulted in a clash and the loose ball fell for Darragh Mulligan to pounce for the opening try.

It was another piece of indecision, this time by wing John O'Donnell, that allowed Daire Higgins to pick up the pieces and fullback David Walsh accelerated to the posts for outhalf Paddy Maguire to make it 12-6.

Clonakilty's salvation arrived from 13 unanswered points kick-started by secondrow Eoin Scannell's finish from Cribb's pass and ending with Cribb's injury-time penalty and drop goal.
