Sports Award: Cork women's senior football manager Mary Collins has been named Philips Manager of the Month for October.

On the first day of the month Cork beat Armagh by 1-7 to 1-6 to win the All-Ireland football final.

Played at Croke Park before an attendance of over 25,000, Cork scored a late point to edge out their opponents in a thrilling tie.
