CYCLING:Ivan Stevic (Toyota-United) won the second stage of the Tour de Georgia yesterday, jumping clear on the final climb of Clocktower Hill and hitting the line two seconds ahead of Juan José Haedo (Team CSC) and Freddy Rodriguez (Predictor-Lotto), reports Shane Stokes.
Irish road race champion David McCann (Colavita/Sutter Home) came home in the big bunch five seconds later, placing 61st, while compatriot Ciarán Power (Navigators Insurance Cycling Team) was 64th, 21 seconds behind Stevic.
Race leader Daniele Contrini (Tinkoff Credit Systems) finished in the main bunch and continues to lead overall. McCann and Power are 53rd and 65th respectively in the prestigious US event, one minute 22 and one minute 38 back.
