How they got here: By beating the Dutch rather impressively into second place in Group 3 which they came through without losing a game.
Manager: Karel Bruckner
Star turn: Europe's Player of the Year, Pavel Nedved is a brilliant attacking midfielder who can wreak havoc from the space immediately in front of opposing defences. Terrific on the ball, a perceptive passer, he can beat opponents and finishes well. This hasn't been the best of seasons for the 31-year-old but with international retirement imminent (again) he'll be keen to shine here.
Prospects: Nedved may be the only really world class player but this is a team with a lot of very good players. Big Jan Koller and the likes of Petr Cech, Milan Baros and Stepan Vachousek might just steal the show.
