BASKETBALL: The St Vincent's club from Glasnevin completed a remarkable season by adding the Division One title to the Superleague crown they won last month.

Keeping it in the family as well. This time it was the oldest of the Donnelly clan who engineered a convincing 94-75 victory over Longford Falcons at the national arena yesterday. Karl Donnelly, whose day job is Superleague manager, finished with 21-points, many of them coming from outside the arch.

Vincent's were 20 points up after the first period, 33-13, 18 ahead at half-time, 48-30, and 22 in front before the start of the final quarter, 71-59.

In the women's final, Mercy Coolock overran UL Aughinish 84-50, with Becky Woods top scoring on 24 points.
