Aidan O'Brien has nominated York's Juddmonte International in 12 days as a possible return date for the Budweiser Irish Derby hero Dylan Thomas.

The Classic-winning colt hasn't been seen in action since impressively scoring at the Curragh last month, after which the Irish Champion Stakes in September was proposed as a likely next stop.

But O'Brien is starting to formulate plans for the prestigious Ebor festival at York, and said yesterday: "He could possibly run next in the Juddmonte. There are loads of options, but that race is a possible."

The Juddmonte would mean a return to a mile and a quarter for Dylan Thomas, who landed the Derrinstown Trial at the trip before running third in the Epsom Derby in June.

The Ballydoyle trainer's dual-Oaks heroine Alexandrova is also a possible starter in the Yorkshire Oaks.

But O'Brien reported that last season's champion juvenile filly Rumplestiltskin has had another slight setback and is only starting back in work again.

Horse Racing Ireland have reported there will be two more replacement fixtures on the calendar, with Ballinrobe racing on Tuesday, September 26th, and Tralee getting a Wednesday, October 4th, date.

Just two of the 15 races in Ireland this evening will be over jumps, but the novice hurdle at Tipperary will be interesting as it features the latest start of Ecole d'Art.

A Listed winner for Andre Fabre during his flat career in France, Ecole d'Art's new jumping career took time to gather speed: that he has only one eye seemed to affect his confidence.

But an all-the-way maiden win appeared to unlock the key, and with no horses around him he repeated the front-running tactics to good effect at Galway last week. Tonight's opposition should find it difficult to keep tabs on Ecole d'Art again.

The juvenile conditions race looks an intriguing contest with Vorteeva trying to repeat an impressive seven-length victory over the course and distance last month.

But that win means the John Oxx runner has to concede 5lb to the runner-up that day, Naigani, and more importantly to Ferneley, whose ultra-promising debut was followed by a comfortable win at Galway at the weekend.

Auction race wins are not penalised in this evening's race conditions, and that 5lb could make the difference to Ferneley.

Abbeylara found only Breaker Morant too good at Roscommon on Tuesday and can go one better in the apprentice handicap, while Divert can beat the well-bred Suppose in the opener.

At Sligo, Zanderi, who ran very green on his Tipperary debut but still won, can show the benefit of that experience in the conditions race over 10 furlongs, and Enfield Chase at his best should repeat his win of last year in the six-furlong handicap off 1lb lower in the ratings.
