Cork's Donoughmore go in search of a second All-Ireland Club title in succession, whereas this is Ballyboden's second All-Ireland final appearance. Their last ended in defeat at the hands of tomorrow's opponents three years ago.

The Cork side are going for their third title in four years and they have now won nine county championships in a row.

Despite being the holders, Donoughmore find themselves in the position of underdogs in the eyes of many. Ballyboden were impressive when defeating Mayo's Cranacon in the semi-final and possess seven of the Dublin panel that reached this year's All-Ireland final.

Reports from the south suggest Donoughmore are coming into form at the right time, but Ballyboden's Dublin contingent will do everything to avoid a second All-Ireland final defeat in the space of two months.
