Monaghan 0-19 Clare 0-6:Monaghan continued their winning run at Cusack Park, Ennis, yesterday. The sides were level at three points apiece after 17 minutes but when Monaghan's Thomas Freeman pointed his side ahead in the 20th minute, the Ulster men never looked back.

Freeman had a goal-bound shot saved by Joe Hayes, then Ciarán Hanratty missed a sitter and Damien Freeman's shot hit the upright. At the interval Monaghan led 0-9 to 0-4 and by the 48th minute they led by 11 points.
