KERRY SFC QUARTER-FINALS: Kerins O'Rahilly's powered past St Brendan's in the second half at the Austin Stack Park yesterday to triumph 1-12 to 2-5.

St Brendan's struck for their first goal in the 10th minute through Conor Daly. St Brendan's got in for a soft goal when Shane Griffin squeezed the ball past Garry Kissane in the 23rd minute. O'Rahilly's rallied before half-time as David Moran and Declan Quill with two frees closed the gap to 2-3 to 0-5 at half-time.

O'Rahilly's resumed a transformed side and Michael Quirke wiped St Brendan's out at midfield. It was all over in the 46th minute when Quill blasted the ball to the Brendan's net.

In the other semi-final South Kerry defeated East Kerry 1-9 to 0-8. South Kerry never had to move into top gear but with Seamus Moynihan, operating on the 40, they could never relax until Ronan Hussey goaled five minutes into the second half. Moynihan almost rescued East Kerry when, in 48th minute, his shot agonisingly came back off the crossbar.

LAOIS SFC SEMI-FINALS: Just one of the finalists for the Laois final is known following yesterday's ties. At O'Moore Park, Portlaoise Arles/Killeen qualified for their first final thanks to a 1-7 to 0-9 win over Emo. A Jason Enright goal gave Killeen a 1-3 to 0-2 lead after 16 minutes but Emo rallied in the second half before Brian McDonald got the winning score.

The second semi-final was another close affair with Arles/Kilcruise holding a 0-4 to 0-2 interval lead. However, Michael John Tierney inspired Ballyroan Gaels comeback with the forward scoring three second-half points to give his side the lead. Kilcruise's Lar Wall pointed with five minutes remaining to level matters at 0-7 each.

Meanwhile, Rathdowney/Errill qualified for the Laois senior hurling final following their 0-17 to 2-7 replay win over The Harps on Saturday.

CORK SFC SEMI-FINAL: Nemo Rangers and Duhallow must meet again to decide who plays Dohenys after drawing 0-10 to 1-7. In a dramatic end at Pairc Uí Rinn on Saturday night, Nemo held a three-point lead with a minute left, but Duhallow equalised with a goal from a penalty by Donncha O'Connor.
