Gavin White will captain the Kerry senior footballers this season.
As is the policy in Kerry, the reigning county champions get the honour of nominating a captain for the following intercounty season and 2024 winners Dr Crokes have put forward White’s name for the upcoming campaign.
It sees the 2022 All Star succeed Paudie Clifford as captain.
This is the second time the flying wing back has been nominated for the role, having previously captained Kerry in 2019. The Kingdom lost that year’s All-Ireland final to Dublin after a replay.
