The All-Ireland football championship is finally taking shape. On Sunday July 31st, Galway and Kerry await in the All-Ireland quarter-finals to face the winners of round 4A matches between Clare versus Roscommon and Derry against Tipperary.
Then, on Saturday August 6th, Dublin will play Donegal if they can beat Cork on July 30th while Tyrone will play Westmeath or Mayo.
The 2012 All-Ireland winners, Donegal dropped into the qualifiers after they were edged out by Tyrone 0-13 to 0-11 in an epic in Clones on Sunday, and they will play a Rebels side who overcame Longford in round 3B.
Cork will be a tricky assignment for Rory Gallagher’s team but they have avoided a heavyweight clash against Mayo, who will play beaten Leinster finalists Westmeath.
Mayo produced a strong first half performance as they eased past Kildare in Castlebar on Saturday evening, while Westmeath were powerless to stop Dublin at Croke Park.
In the other side of the draw Roscommon will play Clare, they face just a six day turnaround from their Connacht final replay thrashing at the hands of Galway on Sunday.
And in the final fixture of the round, Derry face beaten Munster finalists Tipperary after they had too much for Ulster rivals Cavan in round 3A.
All fixtures are set to be played at neutral venues.
