Tommy Walsh is set to quit the Kerry senior football panel, according to reports.
The Irish Examiner have revealed the 28-year-old has been left frustrated by a lack of playing time and will walk out on the Kingdom.
Walsh was an unused substitute during last weekend’s 2-18 to 0-13 Allianz League final thrashing at the hands of Dublin.
And he has struggled to nail down a regular place in Eamon Fitzmaurice’s squad since the start of the 2015 season, when he returned from a stint in the AFL with St Kilda and the Sydney Swans.
The Kerins O’Rahillys full forward made a cameo appearance in the All-Ireland quarter-final against Kildare last year and started two league games against Dublin and Roscommon earlier this season.
However with a starting place looking unlikely Walsh seems set to quit the Kerry squad altogether.
