Brian Cody will take charge of Kilkenny for a 24th year in 2022 after he was ratified at a county board meeting on Monday night.
The 67-year-old has led the Cats to 11 All-Ireland titles and 10 league titles since taking over in 1998, having won three All-Irelands as a player.
Kilkenny went unbeaten in four games in Division 1B of the Allianz Hurling League and went on to beat Dublin in the Leinster hurling final before losing out in a high-scoring All-Ireland semi-final to Cork.
James McGarry, Martin Comerford and Conor Phelan will remain as Cody's selectors.
