Damien Joyce and Kevin Lally have been announced by Galway GAA as the latest members of the county's senior hurling management team. They join manager Henry Shefflin and Richie O'Neill.

Joyce captained Galway in the 2011 championship and was a member of Micheál Donoghue’s All-Ireland winning management in 2017. Lally managed St Thomas’s to three county titles from 2018-20 and in 2019 to the All-Ireland final which they lost to Shefflin’s club Ballyhale Shamrocks. He also coached the All-Ireland winning minors in 2020.

The manager of those minors, Brian Hanley, has been recommended for the same role for the county's under-20s on a three-year basis. He will go before the next Galway GAA management committee meeting for ratification.
