Tipperary have left goalkeeper Darren Gleeson out of the side to face Westmeath in the All-Ireland hurling qualifier in Semple Stadium on Saturday (5pm).

Gleeson (36) pleaded guilty earlier this week to obtaining €10,000 by deception from an elderly man and received a three-and-a-half year suspended prison sentence.

His place against Westmeath will be taken by Daragh Mooney of Eire Óg Annacarty-Donohill, who makes his championship debut.

Tipperary manager Michael Ryan makes two other changes for the first ever championship meeting between the counties. Tomás Hamill and Joe O’Dwyer are also given their first championship starts at full-back and right half back.
