James McCarthy makes his first appearance of the season for Dublin, according to the side released by manager Jim Gavin late last night.
The holders make four changes for the top-of-the-table Division One football league clash with Cork at Croke Park tomorrow. Out of the side that defeated Westmeath three weeks ago, go Darragh Nelson, Shane Carthy, Eoghan O’Gara and Paul Mannion.
They are replaced by Seán George - returning from suspension – who is picked at full back with Philly McMahon replacing Nelson. Cian O’Sullivan switches from centre back to a familiar centrefield posting, allowing McCarthy to come in at number six.
All-Ireland winning captain in 2011 Bryan Cullen is named at left wing forward with Ciarán Reddin replacing Eoghan O’Gara at full forward and finally Cormac Costello, who cried off with illness before the last match, returns in place of Paul Mannion.
Meanwhile Tyrone manager Mickey Harte brings in former Footballer of the Year Seán Cavanagh for his first start of the season. Cavanagh made an impact when introduced in the win against Mayo in the last round. He’s one of three changes for the trip to Newbridge to play Kildare.
Cavanagh replaces Peter Hughes with Ryan McKenna named at right wing back in place of Tiernan McCann and Colin McAliskey coming in at corner forward and Ronan O'Neill, who was excellent against Mayo, switching to centre forward and Shay McGuigan reverting to the bench.
