Graham Geraghty is expected to make a return to the Meath team for the final round of Allianz National Football League games this year. The Seneschalstown forward, who was the sole Meath player to gain an All Star nomination this year, would boost the home team's attacking potential in what could be an old-fashioned shoot-out against Fermanagh.

John Maughan, Fermanagh's new manager, has already given a vote of confidence to his newly-crowned All-Ireland B champions. The Ulster team eased recent concerns over their spluttering league form with by steamrolling over Wicklow in last Sunday's B final.

Meath full back Richard Rennick is considered doubtful due to a groin strain, so team manager Sean Boylan will have to bolster his defensive lines to cope with Fermanagh's razorsharp forward line, spearheaded by Raymond Gallagher and Stephen Maguire, who hit 2-4 in the B final. Meath are expected to finalise their team this evening after training.

Sligo, who play Cavan at Markievicz Park, make one change from the side that beat Meath. John McPartland (Coolera/Strandhill) comes in at right corner forward in place of the injured Ken Killeen.

Con O'Meara, who missed the game against Meath through injury, is fit again and has been included in the substitutes. Eamonn O'Hara retains the midfield spot in place of O'Meara.

Cavan manager Val Andrews has announced the same team that defeated Clare last time out. He is persevering with the midfield partnership of Charles Clarke and James Doonan, with Dermot McCabe lining out at wing forward.

League champions Derry are expected to name a team this evening along the lines of that which narrowly defeated Laois a fortnight ago.

Galway have delayed naming a side to face Offaly as a number of their players are involved in local games over the weekend.

Clanna Gael's David Kelly comes into the Roscommon team that will host Tyrone on Sunday. The Connacht side administered a first league defeat in 12 months to Louth last time out, stunning them with two second-half goals.

Frankie Dolan, who notched up 1-7 from placed balls in that match, again lines out at corner forward, alongside Stephen Lohan, who contributed 1-3.

Louth, meanwhile, are mulling over a considerable injury list as they prepare to visit Donegal on Sunday. It is thought unlikely that Colin Kelly will be able to return to training before the new year. Team captain Nicky Malone is also struggling with injury, and Seamus O'Hanlon, another regular, is also striving to regain full fitness.

After a useful opening league win against Kerry, Paddy Clarke's team could use another positive result.
