Any deals on membership/visiting green fees for 2014? We are offering non GUI/ILGU members a six month membership running from April-September. This has proven to be very popular to those who don't want weekly competitive club golf, are mostly in their twilight years and enjoy using the facilities during the better months.
What is the greatest challenge facing clubs in 2014? Affording the rising costs of buying, servicing & running golf course machinery in order to provide a golf course that will retain and attract new members. Keeping costly clubhouses open, heated & staffed in the hope that members, visitors and local residents (if allowed) will use the facilities available.
Mission statement for the season ahead: We pride ourselves in creating a warm welcome for both members and visitors each and every time they visit and our golf course staff are very proud of the work that they do on a daily basis. In 2014 we hope to see as many golfers as possible play the golf course and make us work hard to keep up the standards.
