Schools Rugby: Leinster Schools secondrow Shane Grannell showed his undoubted class as CBC Monkstown became the last side to qualify for the Vinny Murray Cup semi-finals with a 23-16 win over Wesley at Belfield yesterday.
Grannell crashed over for two tries, while centre Killian Jenkinson and replacement Richard Ivers provided the other tries.
For Wesley, prop Jeff Dand's try was matched by the excellent kicking of outhalf Barry McLoughlin, and backed up by the foraging of their backrow of Darren O'Doherty, Mark O'Byrne and Adam Rice.
