Padraig Harrington has agreed to compete in next month's Portugal Masters.

The world number eight, currently preparing for the Tour Championship in Atlanta, will take part in the tournament at the Oceanico Victoria course in Vilamoura. A purse of €3 million will be up for grabs.

"I have always enjoyed my time there and . . . it is one of those destinations where we are guaranteed great weather and are always presented with a great golf course that is in perfect condition," the Dubliner said today.
