CRICKET:INDIA HAVE called off next month's tour of Pakistan, the government refusing permission amid simmering tension between the nuclear-armed neighbours over the militant attacks in Mumbai in November. A senior Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official said an official invitation had already been sent to Sri Lanka to play three Tests, three one-dayers and a Twenty20 match to replace the cancelled tour.
A seven-wicket haul from Australia left-armer Mitchell Johnson turned the second day of the first Test against South Africa on its head in the final session. The tourists were cruising on 234 for three but, with Johnson claiming five for two in 21 balls, were reduced to 243 for eight at stumps.
