Llanelli wing Mark Jones and Bath flanker Gareth Delve were yesterday included in Wales' 30-man squad ahead of their Six Nations Championship title defence.
Jones has been in impressive form for Llanelli since overcoming the second of two knee reconstructions with recent performances in the Heineken European Cup catching the selectors' eye.
Delve - one of two uncapped players in the squad along with Barry Davies - has recovered from a long-term injury.
Llanelli pair Matthew Rees and Barry Davies are the other new faces in the Wales squad since the November internationals.
Wales go into their title defence - starting against England at Twickenham on February 4th - having been rocked by injuries and unavailabilties.
Scotland coach Frank Hadden has named two uncapped players in a 32-strong squad for training at Murrayfield next week as the Scots intensify their preparations.
Hadden's side will face France in their opening match at Murrayfield on February 5th.
Centre Ben MacDougall (28) and 23-year-old openside flanker Andy Miller have been called up in a squad which also marks the return of Jon Petrie, who missed the Novermber Tests through a shoulder injury. Outhalf Gordon Ross has earned a recall on the back of some recent good performances. Scott MacLeod is another whose recent form and fitness is rewarded after a long absence through an ankle injury.
England manager Andy Robinson names his first squad today with all eyes trained on Lawrence Dallaglio's likely return from international exile.
