Kildare...0-13 Wicklow...0-11: Kildare came away from Aughrim yesterday with their league leadership intact following a narrow victory over their divisional rivals Wicklow.

Trevor Doyle opened the scoring for Wicklow after five minutes with a point, but then Kildare dominated the play to go 0-6 to 0-1 in front after 20 minutes.

Two of those points came from Tadhg Fennin, who was stretchered off injured after 26 minutes.

Wicklow then dominated and by half-time the teams were on equal terms at 0-7 each, with Doyle scoring two more points.

Kildare's Derek McCormack put his side back in front after the restart and a Pádraig Brennan point stretched their lead to two.

Doyle pulled one back for Wicklow but then Kildare went three up as Morgan O'Sullivan and Dermot Earley scored.

Wicklow never gave up and points from Doyle (2) and Tommy Gill brought the sides level with eight minutes left.

John Doyle then restored Kildare's lead and he added the insurance point in injury time.
